REGISTER YOUR FLOAT
If you find an official starred float on or near the “button” on the underside,
bring it to the Parksville Visitor Centre to register your treasure.
You’ll receive a Certificate of Authenticity and information about the artist who crafted your float.
And you'll win a fabulous prize like accommodation at our resorts, fine dining in our world class restaurants or gift certificates from participating retailers.

GLASS FLOATS ON THE BEACH
From October to May, you can discover glass treasures on the beaches of Vancouver Island's Oceanside region.
Our army of Float Fairies will drop and hide more than 300 handcrafted glass floats and hundreds of other dazzling glass sea creatures...starfish, seahorses sand dollars, scallops.. above the high tide line on beaches stretching from Nanoose Bay in the south to Deep Bay in the north.
And...if you find one...you keep it!
But don't forget the next step!
THE BASIC RULES OF THE HUNT
We use the term “hide” loosely, we want our treasures to be found!
Floats can be found above the high tide line and below the beach embankment
Start your hunt at public beach access points.
Our Float Fairies hide floats at random times and locations…not even we know.
Floats are out there every day rain or shine.
Please respect private property.
Glass art pieces are NOT hidden on private property or in designated environmentally sensitive areas!
